Water and Aquatic Plants
Medium care
Victoria amazonica is one of the most famous aquatic plants in the world, known for its enormous circular leaves with raised rims that can reach several feet across. In its native South American habitat, the leaves are so strong that they are often photographed supporting small weights. The plant produces large, fragrant, night-blooming flowers that last for two days—opening pure white on the first night and changing to pink on the second. This dramatic flowering cycle makes it a true centerpiece plant.
