A classic tropical fern found across rainforest regions, this plant produces soft, pale green fronds on delicate, black wiry stems. The leaves are small, numerous, and give a cloud-like, airy appearance when fully grown. It becomes a stunning specimen fern when mature and fits beautifully in indoor planters, ferneries, and shaded rock gardens. Traditionally, it is also known for its use as a natural hair tonic.

Care guide

  • Semi shade, Shade growing
  • Requires more (keep soil evenly moist)
  • Grow it in high humidity with porous, organic-rich soil like leaf mould. Water frequently but avoid waterlogging. Keep it in shaded or semi-shaded areas and protect from dry winter air. During cold spells it may slow down or go dormant, but it bounces back when warmth and humidity return. Ideal near waterfalls, shaded water features, or indoor humid spots.
